Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has an exceptional opportunity to support your entry into our administrative and clerical workforce through an accredited apprenticeship programme based directly within our cutting-edge diagnostic laboratory services. As part of this role, you will gain hands-on, practical healthcare administration experience while being supported by an external training provider and the Trust’s Organisational Learning team to achieve a recognized Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Successful completion of this fixed-term training programme can provide a direct pathway onto a substantive administrative role within the Trust.
You will be joining our dedicated administrative team in the Central Genomics Laboratory at St James’s University Hospital, working closely with colleagues across Leeds and the wider North East and Yorkshire (NEY) region. In response to NHS England’s Strategy for Genomics, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Newcastle Hospitals, Sheffield Children’s, and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals have formed the North East and Yorkshire Genomic Laboratory Hub—the largest regional collaboration in the country.
