Job summary

Hatch seeks a dynamic Bus and Zero Emissions Consultant to support the Infrastructure group from our Boston, MA office. This role offers in-office collaboration with flexibility to work remotely when needed, and mentors from industry experts.

You will design charging/hydrogen infra, estimate costs, and develop fleet operation plans while collaborating with utilities and project teams.

Qualifications

• Internships or educational experience in fleet planning or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning or engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Willingness to spend time in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Support projects transitioning fleets to zero-emissions technologies.
• Provide technical expertise for cross-discipline teams on rail, bus, paratransit solutions.
• Design infrastructure like charging systems and hydrogen fueling stations.
• Work with utilities to assess electrification impacts of large fleets.
• Complete cost estimates for zero-emissions transitions.
• Develop bus/rail vehicle operations and maintenance plans.
