Job summary

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a transportation operator at Mount Vernon Developmental Center. The role involves driving passenger buses and various vehicles to transport students, residents, and staff for activities and services on campus.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspection, mileage reporting, fuel tracking, and delivering supplies throughout the campus; training new drivers may be required. A CDL with proper endorsements is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and basic English communication.
• 3 months of training or 3 months experience operating passenger bus or van; valid CDL with appropriate endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operates passenger bus (23+ passengers) to transport passengers to and from Mount Vernon Developmental Center for activities.
• Inspects, services and maintains vehicles; completes mileage and fuel reports; delivers supplies and mail as required.
