Job summary

State of Ohio is seeking a Vehicle Operator 2 in Mount Vernon, OH to operate buses and vans for transporting residents and staff to activities and appointments. The role includes vehicle inspection, maintenance, and assisting in training new drivers. CDL with appropriate endorsement is required; prior passenger-transport driving experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication & division; reading, writing & speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Operate passenger bus (23+ passengers) and other vehicles to transport passengers to and from Mount Vernon Developmental Center.
• Inspect, service and maintain vehicles; prepare mileage, fuel, passenger & related reports; assist in training new employees in vehicle driving.
