Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking a field technician to participate in the installation and maintenance of bus stop benches, shelters, and related property. The role involves performing a variety of technical tasks across assigned areas and ensuring safe work practices at all times.

The position is safety sensitive and requires compliance with random drug/alcohol testing. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and three years of maintenance or sign fabrication experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of maintenance, sign fabrication or street marking experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, relocate, install and maintain bus stops, benches, signs and shelters; prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping or other means necessary including sand blasting.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and identify maintenance problems concerning bus stops, benches and shelters; check for correct set-back compliance on all signs, benches and shelters.
