Job Title: Bus Service Technician

This position is located at our North Central St. Cloud location. St. Cloud, also known as the Granite City, is home to several parks and attractions highlighting our granite mining history. For example, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is a 683 acre preserve with 20 former granite quarries and is a great place to swim, scuba, fish, climb, or admire.

Position Description:

As a Bus Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI’s) on school and commercial buses and making the appropriate repairs to ensure quality and safety of the vehicle. You will also perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on customer vehicles. Our Bus Technicians work in collaboration with a team of techs reporting directly to the Service Manager.

This position is ideal for something with experience with a Ford chassis and powertrain who is looking to try something new!

This position has a base hourly range of $26 - $32 per hour.

Essential Functions:

• Inspections: Conduct DOT and pre-delivery inspections as well as vehicle prep
• Vehicle diagnostics & testing: perform quality diagnostics, functionality checks, road testing, and service and repair of bus fleets
• Systems repairs & replacements: repair and replace mechanical, fluid, electrical, and air systems as well as structural components
• Repair documentation & warranty submission: documenting repairs and providing necessary information for warranty submissions
• Other duties: Any other tasks as assigned

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Valid Class D Driver’s License
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics

Experience:

• 2+ years of related post-secondary education with 1+ years of related experience
• 3+ years of related experience in leu of education
• Forklift experience
• CDL Class B w/ Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
• Knowledge of diesel, gas, propane, and electric vehicles
• Knowledge of Ford powertrain systems
