Job summary

High Valley Transit in Utah is seeking an Operator Trainer to support the Deputy Manager with classroom and on-the-road training. The role involves training non-CDL hires and current CDL holders, and safely transporting passengers on scheduled bus routes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid Utah driver's license with no moving violations in the past 12 months.
• Class B Commercial Drivers License with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement.
• 2 years of driving a commercial vehicle, required.
• Training experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal and background check.
• Must pass a drug screening within 72 hours of offer.
• Demonstration of recent customer service experience while operating on a fixed route service.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting and prolonged sitting/standing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Deputy Manager for both classroom and on-the-road training.
• Train both non-CDL hires and current CDL holders.
• Safely transport people by bus on regularly scheduled High Valley Transit routes.
