Job summary

RTS - Regional Transit Service is seeking an Ontario Bus Driver to cover full-time and part-time roles. The position reports to the Ontario Regional Manager, with starting pay at $21.53 per hour and increases to $23.57 after probation. This is a union environment affiliated with ATU Local 282 and serves multiple counties across New York.

Operates a bus on designated routes, assists riders, completes trip logs, and performs pre-trip inspections. Paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) with passenger endorsement and no seating restrictions preferred.
• If not fully licensed, we will train you.
• Must have Class B permit with passenger endorsement prior to start date.
• Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular Class D driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates a bus or other revenue service vehicle to safely transport customers along designated routes and according to established schedules.
• Assists customers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed and completes required trip logs.
• Conducts pre-trip vehicle inspections and reports any vehicle malfunctions. Paid training is provided.
