Job summary

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville, TN is hosting an onsite Bus Operator hiring event on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10am to 2pm at the Southeast Precinct. Wage is $27.03 per hour with paid CDL training and a 401(k) plan option.

Walk-ins are welcome and priority goes to applicants. Bus Operator duties include safely operating transit buses, engaging customers, and complying with DOT standards. Qualifications include a Tennessee driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Tennessee driver’s license and high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass company-provided paid CDL training for Class B with passenger/air brake endorsements.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate transit bus in accordance with WeGo Public Transit policies and Tennessee/Federal laws.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
