Job summary

Vivalon is hiring Bus Operators to drive Modesto routes. The role offers paid training, full benefits, and a consistent daytime schedule Monday–Friday with no weekends or evenings.

Starting pay is $26/hour in California, with a sign-on and retention bonus and opportunities to earn additional credentials (VDDP) within 60 days. Vivalon is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.

Qualifications

• Completion of paid training with full attendance.
• Valid California CDL with Passenger endorsement.
• VDDP credentialing within 60 days after hire; CHP interview required.
• Friendly, reliable and committed to customer service.
• Clean driving record and valid California Driver's License.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, secure wheelchairs and assist passengers.
• Availability for training in Ceres, CA, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM for 8 days.
• One professional reference required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and ongoing random testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus routes in Modesto area and ensure safe, on-time service.
• Provide courteous customer service and assist passengers as needed.
• Complete training and credentialing steps per program requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Completion of paid training with full attendance
• A valid California Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement
• Upon hire, we will provide training for you to earn a DMV credential (VDDP Certificate) to drive developmentally disabled persons (VDDP) within 60 days. This credentialing requires a comprehensive background review and requires an interview by the CHP. Continued employment is dependent upon successful completion of this
