Job summary

Transdev North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bus Driver/Operator in Atlanta, GA to ensure safe, reliable passenger transportation with a strong customer-service focus.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsements, at least 3 years of driving experience, and DOT compliance. Compensation follows a union pay scale of $21.25–$22.00 per hour, with full-time benefits and a schedule that may include various shifts.

• Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, prompt reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work (operate heavy equipment) outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day).
• Push and pull objects supporting ADA passengers up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday, with or without assistance; and/or occasionally bend or kneel.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of vehicles fumes and noise.
