Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Bus Attendant or Safety Aide to supervise children on school transportation and assist the driver during daily sign-on/off procedures.

The role emphasizes enforcing seatbelt safety, monitoring health, and ensuring that each child is delivered to an authorized adult at the destination. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping, incident reporting, and completing a thorough bus walk-through after each route to maintain a safe and compliant transportation

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise and communicate with children in a bus setting.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and document incidents accurately.
• Ability to work with school staff and drivers to ensure child safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus.
• Assist driver with daily sign-on and sign-off sheets, accounting by name for all children.
• Ensure children are secured in age-appropriate seatbelts or restraints and that adults use seatbelts.
• Observed health of each child and notify administrator of concerns.
• Collaborate with the bus driver to deliver children to authorized adults and ensure no child is left unattended.
• Fill out accident/incident reports as appropriate.
• Perform a complete walk-through of the bus after each route.
