Job summary

Lamers Bus Lines in Juneau, Wisconsin is seeking a versatile team member to multitask across maintenance, grounds, and office tasks at a small 6-bus terminal. You may work under the hood of a bus, answer phones, or drive a route as needed. In-house CDL training is provided by Lamers.

Qualifications

• Multitasking across maintenance, outdoor grounds, and office tasks.
• Reliable, self-directed, go-to person at a small terminal.
• Mechanically inclined or willing to learn.
• CDL required or willing to obtain one (Lamers provides in-house training)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on buses.
• Clean bus interiors and exteriors on a regular schedule.
• Mow, plow, and shovel to keep the bus yard and terminal grounds clear and safe year-round.
• Handle general building and grounds upkeep.
• Drive a school bus as needed to cover routes (Training provided to obtain CDL if needed).
• Handle light office tasks as they come up.

Job description

Lamers Bus Lines is looking to hire a person who can multitask and likes variety for our Juneau terminal. With only 6 buses at this location, no two days look the same - you might spend the morning under the hood of a bus and wrap up the day answering phones or driving a route yourself. If you take pride in being the person a small terminal can count on for just about anything, this is the job for you.

What You'll Do

Bus Maintenance & Cleaning

• Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on buses
• Clean bus interiors and exteriors on a regular schedule

Bus Yard & Grounds

• Mow, plow, and shovel to keep the bus yard and terminal grounds clear and safe year-round
• Handle general building and grounds upkeep

Driving

• Drive a school bus as needed to cover routes (Training provided to obtain CDL if needed)

Office & Route Support

• Handle light office tasks as they come up

Who We're Looking For

• Someone who's comfortable switching between hands-on maintenance work, outdoor grounds work, and office tasks in the same day
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable being the go-to person at a small terminal
• Mechanically inclined or willing to learn
• CDL required or willingness to obtain one (Lamers provides in-house training)
