Job summary

Lamers Bus Lines in Wisconsin is seeking experienced diesel mechanics to join our maintenance team. You will inspect, service, and repair motor coaches and buses to keep our fleet safe and reliable, following preventive maintenance schedules and safety protocols.

We prize practical problem solvers who can diagnose engine and heavy equipment issues, perform timely repairs, maintain thorough service logs, and contribute to fleet improvement projects within a collaborative, safety‑minded

Qualifications

  • Experience with buses, trucks, or heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Routine maintenance on motor coaches.
  • Diagnostics and repairs of engines, transmissions and heavy equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain detailed service logs for repairs and inspections.
  • Participate in fleet improvement projects.

What You'll Do
  • Routine Maintenance: Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on motor coaches.
  • Diagnostics & Repairs: Identify and fix engine, transmission, and heavy equipment issues.
  • Compliance: Conduct safety checks to ensure vehicles meet all regulations.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed service logs for all repairs and inspections.
  • Project Work: Participate in scheduled maintenance and fleet improvement projects.
What We're Looking For

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experienced with buses, trucks, or other heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
