Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks a skilled technician to inspect and service school and activity buses. You will perform preventive maintenance, analyze engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and use lifting equipment to move parts as needed.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience on buses, knowledge of Cummins and Ford engines, and the ability to follow service bulletins and recalls. On-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or GED.
• Four years of mechanical experience, to include hands-on experience working on school and activity buses.
• Fundamental understanding of engines, hydraulics, electrical, transmissions, etc.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies for duties.
• Troubleshoot using manuals and diagrams for engines, fuel systems, and transmissions.
• Use tools to disassemble/assemble components and perform repairs and tests.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on buses, including oil changes and filters.
