Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager in Villa Park, IL to oversee day-to-day maintenance for a fixed-route bus operation. You will ensure contractual requirements are met, prepare routine reports, and manage the maintenance program budget.

The role requires at least five years with a sizable fleet, CDL B with passenger and airbrake endorsements, and strong coordination with vendors and customers. Competitive benefits and a defined salary range are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit fleet.
• Experience maintaining a fleet of 40+ buses.
• Experience developing and maintaining a maintenance program.
• Experience with Eldorado or equivalent buses.
• ASE certifications (A1–A9, H8) or equivalent training preferred.
• Ability to interface with clients and manage relationships.
• Track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
• Prioritize and manage work schedules and projects.
• Manage financial/accounting aspects of fleet maintenance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Vehicle repair and preventive maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with audits and PM schedules.
• Experience with Diesel, CNG, and alternative fuels a plus.
• CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance for fixed-route bus operation.
• Ensure contractual maintenance requirements are met.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance reports.
• Manage the maintenance program budget.
