Voorheesville Central School District is seeking substitute school bus drivers to operate routes for two in-district schools and transport students to private schools, SPED placements, and for field trips and events on an as-needed basis.

Training is available for qualified candidates; hours generally 6:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. from September to June. A Class B license with endorsements is preferred, with CDL-B permit training offered.

• CDL Class B permit will be trained if not possessed.
• A Class B license with passenger and school bus endorsements is preferred.
• Neat appearance is required.
• Background check, drug testing and fingerprinting are required by law.

• Transport district children to private schools, Special Education placements, and for field trips and athletic events as needed.
• Operate routes for two in-district public schools and provide transportation as required.
• Occasional training and supervision as part of employment review.

This post is a continuous recruitment for substitute school bus driver(s) at the Voorheesville CentralSchool District beginning immediately. Drivers work routes for two in-district public schools, andprovide transportation for district children going to private schools, to Special Education placementsand for district field trips and athletic events on an as‑needs basis.

Training is available for qualified candidates.

Salary: per UEV Contract

Hours may vary; Generally from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.September – June.

• High school graduate or possession of GED.
• A Class B license with passenger and school bus endorsements is preferred.
• Drivers with a CDL Class B permit will be trained.
• Neat appearance.
• There will be a background check, drug testing and fingerprinting (as required by law).

The supervisor will conduct a formal review of performance approximately six months aftercommencement of employment in this position.
