Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements within 1 month of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 1 month of hire.
• DOT physical within 1 week of hire.
• Insurability requirements of Colorado School District Self-Insurance Pool.
• Clean Colorado DMV record within past 3 years.
• Background and education screenings required.
• Motor Vehicle Record dated within past 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in the district Bus Driver training program.
• Assist driver in maintaining student behavior and report incidents.
• Aid in loading/unloading of students, including those with special needs.
• Communicate with driver to develop a team environment.
• Collect and maintain medical and safety information as needed.
• Ensure students are properly loaded and seated.
• Assist with special needs equipment and bus sanitation after routes.
• Practice emergency evacuation drills with students and driver.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
