Job summary

New Palestine Community Schools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver Trainee to join the Transportation team in Indiana. The role focuses on obtaining a CDL Class B with Air Brake, Passenger Endorsement and School Bus Endorsement through company training and state testing.

The trainee will participate in NPCS Transportation training, complete the DOE Yellow Card, and adhere to the district's CDL policies, including random drug testing requirements for CDL employees.

Qualifications

• Must hold Indiana BMV CDL Class B Learner's Permit with Air Brake, Passenger Endorsement and School Bus Endorsement.
• Participate in NPCS Transportation training to obtain full CDL Class B with the required endorsements.
• Must complete Indiana DOE Yellow Card training.
• Must participate in NPCS Transportation training and comply with the CDL testing policies.

Responsibilities

• Primary function is to obtain the required CDL endorsements and support school transportation operations.
• Prepare for training and testing as part of the substitute program.
• Adhere to random drug testing policies for CDL employees.
