Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Transportation in Casa Grande, AZ seeks a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and excursions, keeping vehicles safe and students secure during loading and unloading.

Responsibilities include supervising students, performing inspections, and preparing reports. The position is 10 months, full-time with benefits, 25–40 hours per week, at $19.40 per hour, starting July 14, 2025. The district provides training for new drivers.

• Assists students and other passengers
• Attends meetings, trainings, etc.
• Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior; conducts emergency evacuation drills
• Drives school bus(es)
• Fuels assigned vehicle, (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.)
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.)
• Prepares documents and reports, (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, etc.)
• Reports observations and/or incidents, (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.)
• Responds to inquiries, (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.)
• Supervises students and other passengers during transit
• Assists other personnel as may be required

The job of the Bus Driver is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.

Responsibilities include:

Experience is desired. Full time with Benefits - 25-40 hrs. per week. $16.45 Depending on Experience; w/Certificate. The District trains new bus drivers.

This is a 10 month School Year position only.
