Job Description

JOB TITLE: Bus Driver

REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation

DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Transportation

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Maintain emotional control; Continual sitting, reaching and repetitive hand and arm motions; Work outside and inside; Moderate exposure to extreme temperature (hot) and vehicle fumes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a safe driving record
• Must be able to pass state school bus driver's physical exam
• Will be required to pass a drug test, as detailed in the district's policies
• Must have a valid Class B-CDL, P Passenger Endorsement, and S School Bus Endorsement or the capabilities to obtain this certification
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must be capable of processing reports and other paperwork mandated by state and local agencies
