Job summary

As a PRN team member, you will assist elders entering/exiting vehicles, secure mobility equipment, and help maintain a clean, safe transportation environment while following safety procedures and resident care protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet licensing, vehicle operation, and insurance requirements.
• Experience operating passenger vehicles or accessible transportation preferred.
• Experience working with older adults or individuals with mobility limitations preferred.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
• Dependability and flexibility to work on an as-needed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport elders to medical appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
• Assist elders with safely entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair or mobility device users.
• Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment according to safety procedures.
• Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming transportation environment.
• Follow traffic laws, transport procedures, and resident safety protocols.
• Communicate professionally with elders, families, and team members.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation as required.

Position Overview

The PRN Bus Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for our elders to medical appointments, community outings, and other scheduled activities. This position works on an as-needed basis to support the transportation needs of our community.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport elders to and from medical appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
• Assist elders with safely entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices.
