Job summary

Suttons Bay Public Schools is hiring a full-time Bus Driver and Maintenance employee. The district will cover CDL training and endorsements, with a schedule Monday through Friday, including mornings and afternoons. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and address maintenance concerns.
• Fuel and clean the bus as needed.
• Assist students with seating and safety devices.
• Provide directions to aides and manage student behavior.
• Communicate with teachers, families, and students.
• Maintain school grounds: mowing, trimming, planting, leaf removal.
• Perform seasonal maintenance such as snow removal and salting.
• Inspect outdoor areas, playgrounds, and athletic fields for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with outdoor event setup and minor facility maintenance.
• Report repairs or safety concerns promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Suttons Bay Public Schools is seeking a full-time, year-round Bus Driver and Maintenance employee to join our team. This dual-role position requires a hard-working, self-motivated person with a positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the community. Training will be provided, and the district will cover the cost of obtaining a CDL license, including the required endorsements.

Groundskeeper Responsibilities:

• Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and leaf removal.
• Perform seasonal maintenance such as snow removal, salting, and landscaping.
• Operate and maintain groundskeepingequipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect outdoor areas, playgrounds, and athletic fields for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with outdoor event setup and minor facility maintenance as needed.
• Report repair needs or safety concerns promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bus Driver Responsibilities:

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.-4:15 p.m. (approximately)
