Job summary

Tri-County Action Program in Elk River seeks compassionate, enthusiastic individuals for a full-time bus driver role in our transit services. You will safely operate the bus on assigned routes, assist passengers with mobility aids, and help keep passengers secure and comfortable.

Starting wage is $24.50–$26.50 per hour. CDL training is provided, plus 10 paid holidays, personal days, health/dental/life insurance, and a retirement savings plan. Availability Monday–Saturday is required.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement required or ability to obtain.
• Pass DMV violations check and criminal background check.
• Compliance with FTA drug and alcohol testing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bus on assigned route, staying on schedule and providing excellent service to customers.
• Assist passengers as needed with mobility aids including wheelchairs, walkers or other aids, assuring that all passengers are secured properly and all mobility aids are stowed securely.
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections and report defects to Lead Driver.
• Monitor fare collection from passengers.
• Complete paperwork related to bus operation and passenger concerns.
• Be responsible for daily cleaning and bus maintenance.

Job description

• Safely operate bus on assigned route, staying on schedule and providing excellent service to customers.
• Assist passengers as needed with mobility aids including wheelchairs, walkers or other aids, assuring that all passengers are secured properly and all mobility aids are stowed securely.
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections and report defects to Lead Driver.

Qualifications
