Job summary

Willow Valley Communities is seeking a part-time Bus Driver (CDL required) in Lancaster, PA. You will transport Residents safely, assist with boarding, and ensure comfort on each trip. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and community service within a supportive Transportation team.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Previous bus or passenger driving experience preferred.
• CDL License, Class B with (P) Passenger Endorsement if required for the vehicle driven.
• Less than high school education; or up to 3–6 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Obey state driving laws and comply with all CDL regulations.
• Drive in a courteous and professional manner reflecting Willow Valley Communities' values.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs according to policies, including restraints before moving the vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies that occur while driving, including fires, illnesses, and accidents.
• Unload passengers and inspect the bus for lost items, removing trash.
• Fuel vehicles and report maintenance needs to the Transportation Supervisor.

What You'll Do

As a Bus Driver, you'll play an important role in helping Residents stay active, connected, and engaged while ensuring every trip is safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities Include:

• Obey state driving laws and comply with all CDL regulations.
• Drive in a courteous and professional manner that reflects the values of Willow Valley Communities.
• Assist passengers, as needed, entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs according to established policies and procedures, including wheelchair lap and shoulder restraints before moving the vehicle.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies that occur while driving, including fires, illnesses, and accidents.
• After unloading passengers, inspect the bus for lost items and remove any trash from the vehicle.
• Fuel vehicles and report maintenance needs to the Transportation Supervisor.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
• Previous bus or passenger driving experience preferred
• Less than high school education; or up to 3-6 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• If required for the vehicle being driven, must possess a CDL License, Class B with (P) Passenger Endorsement

Part-Time

Availability needed during operating hours:

• Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
