Job summary

Baker School District 5J is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes. The position is up to 40 hours per week and guaranteed at least 20 hours per week, with eligibility for health benefits and retirement.

LOCATION

• Baker School District 5J Bus Barn.

POSITION INFORMATION

• Baker School District is currently seeking a candidatefor a Bus Driver position. Thispositionis up to 40 hours per week but will be guaranteed at least 20 hours per week.
• Bus Drivers working at least twenty (20) hours per week will receive 100% of the insurance cap.
• Must have a CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL. District will providetraining for applicantto qualify for aCDL if necessary. Applicants are responsible for the cost of exams and theSchool Bus Endorsement.
• Position will not be placed on contract until CDL is obtained, but will be paid by timeclock while training.
• Drive bus and/or other district vehicles to transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedule.

REQUIREMENT OF POSITION

• All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful candidate passing a criminal records check and pre-employment drug test.

SALARY

• 2026-2027Salary Scale $23.82 - $30.42. Placement on the salary schedule will be in accordance with the BSD 5J/OSEA collective bargaining agreement.
• Baker School District 5J offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for health and retirement. In addition, the District pays the six percent (6%) employee PERS contribution required by ORS 238.200 and ORS 238A.330.
