Job summary

Blachly School District #90 is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver for Triangle Lake Charter School in Blachly, Oregon. The role covers a.m. and p.m. routes with potential extra trips, four hours per day on a four-day school week.

Starting immediately, the driver will transport students safely, adhere to district policies, and complete CDL/required training within the district timeline if not already held.

Qualifications

Position Details

• Position: Bus Driver—a.m. and p.m. routes; extra duty routes available as well
• Reports To: Superintendent or designee
• Dates: School Year as set on District Calendar
• Hours: 4 hours a day / 16 hours per week—4 day school week, evenings; during school year, see District Calendar. Possible activity trips may also be available as needed.
• School: Triangle Lake Charter Schools

Terms and Conditions

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, endorsements, certifications, and medical qualifications required to operate a school bus in Oregon.

CDL Requirement: Applicants who do not currently hold a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with the required school bus and passenger endorsements are encouraged to apply. The District will pay for the required training. Successful candidates hired without the required CDL must obtain all required licenses, endorsements, certifications, and successfully complete District training within ninety (90) calendar days of hire (or within another District-approved timeline if delays outside the employee's control occur) as a condition of continued employment.

• Drug Testing Required

Compensation

• $21.45 - $25.47 hourly depending on experience.
• Employer-paid PERS if qualified.
• Due to the “hard to fill” nature of this position, the District will consider a total incentive of $1,000 for any new candidate selected into this position, $500 of which will be payable effective the first day worked and the remaining $500 of which will be payable upon completion of six (6) months in the position.
