Job summary

The Children's Home of Wyoming Conference is seeking a part-time Bus Driver for the School Age Child Care program at the Southern Tier Community Center. The role involves safely transporting youth to and from destinations in accordance with schedules.

Responsibilities include obeying traffic laws, maintaining a clean, safe bus, and following OCFS Transportation Policy. Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years' bus driving experience, CDL, DOT physical, and insurability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 2 years of experience driving a school bus or commercial vehicle required.
• CDL and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.
• Pass DOT Physical required.

• Obey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive at their destination safely.
• Always maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus.
• Being attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensuring passenger safety.
• Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops.
• Regularly checking vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals and mechanical equipment.
• Follow the OCFS Transportation Policy of Children for School Aged Child Care.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED required

Experience:

• 2 years of experience driving a school bus or commercial vehicle required
• Ability to relate and interact with youth and families in a positive manner required
• Commercial Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
• Pass DOT Physical required
