Job Summary
To operate a school bus over designated routes in the transport of students in a safe and timely manner; to pick-up and deliver students to and from school and other scheduled and special excursions; perform a variety of cleaning and custodial functions at assigned District site(s); to maintain safe and sanitary facilities and related sites as assigned; and to function as a cooperative and productive team member. To maintain, service, and repair District school buses and other motorized vehicles/equipment.

Founded in the 1880s as a one-room schoolhouse located in historic Columbia State Park, Columbia Union School District (CUSD) is a one-school elementary district serving about 500 students in grades kindergarten through eight. Located two miles north of Sonora in the gold country of the Sierra Nevada Foothills, Columbia Elementary School relocated in 1936 when a new school building was constructed on Parrotts Ferry Road. Over the years the campus has expanded to meet the needs of the growing district. In 2007, the district completed the construction of 19 state-of-the-art classrooms and an Education, Sports, and Performing Arts Complex. Columbia Elementary focuses on the success of the whole child. The parents, staff, and students focus on creating unique learning opportunities to ensure students leave our school ready for high school and beyond. Columbia Elementary enjoys the support of our parents and community members. The community surrounding the school is made up of a variety of businesses and private homes.
