Job summary

Transdev El Cajon is hiring full-time bus drivers in El Cajon, CA. No commercial driver's license is required to apply—as full-time, paid training helps qualified candidates obtain a Class B CDL. Starting pay is $20.91 per hour with progression to $29.00 per hour after 49+ months.

Benefits include vacation, sick leave, and comprehensive insurance after 90 days, plus retirement and holidays. Walk-in hiring hours are Wednesdays 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at 544 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020.

Qualifications

• Desirable customer-service mindset and safety-first approach.

• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL permit with passenger and air-brake endorsements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old


• Valid California driver’s license in good standing


• At least three years of personal or professional driving experience


• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL permit with passenger and air-brake endorsements


• Strong communication and customer-service skills


• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as assigned


• Ability to pass applicable DOT physical, drug-testing, and background-screening requirements
