Job description

Founded in 1971, Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) is one of Colorado’s leading Christian educational schools for grades K-12. CSCS is a private, non‑denominational school accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). All courses are taught and sports are coached from a Christ‑centered, biblical perspective by a committed and caring staff.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Driving a CSCS bus for daily Woodland Park route before and after school
• Place the safety and security of the students as the highest priority
• Obey all traffic laws
• Opportunity for additional hours driving for student athletics and field trips
• Must be able to work independently
• Must establish and maintain an environment on the bus that reflects the values of CSCS
• Ability to discipline appropriately and communicate discipline issues with school personnel as needed
• Commits and fully supports the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement and Doctrinal Statement, and Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs

Additional Qualifications, Skills and Responsibilities

• Evidence of spiritual maturity and a Christian servant’s heart
• Current CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL; CSCS may assist in the costs of obtaining a CDL
• Current First Aid / CPR certification or ability to obtain certification
• Communicate bus maintenance needs timely
• Sensitive to the needs of students and parents
• Preferred flexibility to also assist with field trips and athletic events as needed
• 2+ years working with children preferred
• Ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent / Principal may find appropriate and acceptable or other background demonstrating application of the qualifications and skills
