Job summary

Avenue Care and Rehabilitation in Warrensville Heights, near Cleveland, is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to transport residents to appointments, outings and activities in a safe, courteous manner.

The role requires at least 18 years old, 2 years driving experience, clean background checks, and completion of required medical and safety training. Physical ability to assist residents is needed and excellent time management is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and a valid driver’s license with no more than 5 points.
• At least 2 years of driving experience and clean criminal and FBI background checks.
• Medical exam and Passenger Assistance Course completion.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents physically.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate facility vehicles for scheduled trips.
• Assist residents with boarding, exiting, and mobility needs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues.
• Follow traffic laws and facility policies.
• Coordinate transportation schedules with staff.
• Keep accurate records for billing and documentation.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to all residents.
