Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. seeks a Field Service Truck Technician to perform on-site repairs at customer facilities and to diagnose and repair Cummins engines. You will write clear reports and communicate with customers while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, a valid driver's license, English proficiency, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. CDL is a plus; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Clear driver screenings and provide information for DQ file (Road Test by Yancey, MVR with <10 points, DOT Physical, Drug Screen).
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15.
• Technical knowledge of School Bus systems.
• Strong diesel engine knowledge (Cummins preferred).
• Strong technical/mechanical ability.
• Able to work with very little supervision.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
• High responsiveness and proactive problem solving.
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
• Ability and motivation to learn quickly.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform truck repairs at customer facilities.
• Maintain a neat, safe work environment.
• Diagnose and repair, applying root-cause analysis.
• Relate findings to customers and office personnel.
• Prepare full reports on field service events.
