Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to drive procurement initiatives for assigned facilities. You will partner with clinical and non-clinical professionals and leadership to manage product evaluations, contract verification, and supplier relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of purchasing or related experience (or 6 years without degree); healthcare experience is preferred, and familiarity with PeopleSoft is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent experience considered.
• 2 years purchasing or related supply chain experience required (6 years if no degree).
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate supply chain initiatives with clinical and non-clinical staff and leadership.
• Liaise with site leadership and sales representatives during product evaluations and contract verifications.
• Develop relationships with customers and vendors to address product needs and contract compliance.
• Assist with facility moves/setups in PeopleSoft and educate customers to ensure PHC policy compliance.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Supply Chain initiatives for assigned facilities by partnering with clinical and non-clinical professionals as well as all levels of entity leadership. Acts as a liaison with site leadership and sales representatives by facilitating strategic discussions, as well as product and equipment investigations and evaluations. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with customers and vendors to address policies, awareness of product needs, product research and verification of contract prior to product purchase. Collaborate with Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing and STARS teams regarding product substitutions and conversions, as well as supporting customer requests for new products. Coordinates the set up and education of new facilities and / or facility moves and changes in PeopleSoft as well as facilitate customer education to ensure compliance with PHC policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university Required or
• In Lieu of degree equivalent experience equal to four (4) years’ experience beyond the minimum experience Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of responsible work experience involving purchasing activities or a closely related field Required or
• In lieu of degree If no Bachelors degree, six (6) years of experience involving purchasing/supply chain activities Required
• Experience in a healthcare setting Preferred
