Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level experience performing repair of heavy vehicle or automotive bodies.
• Completion of a 2-year program from an accredited school in auto/truck body repair.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Repairs damaged bodies and parts of revenue buses using various tools.
• Estimates cost of repairs after examining damage.
• Straightens body panels and other parts damaged in accidents.
• Removes damaged parts using wrenches and cutting tools.
• Bolts, rivets, and welds replacement parts.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
