Job summary

The Brunswick School Department is seeking bus aides to support students with specialized transportation to and from school. This role involves supervising students on school transportation, including lifting and safely securing students in seats, with behavior management as needed.

Full training will be provided. Hours range from 6:15-9:00am and 12:45-3:45pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility on shifts and days; interview may discuss set schedules or substitute calls.

Qualifications

  • CHRC through the Maine DOE and background check.
  • Flexibility with shifts and days discussed at interview.

Job description

The Brunswick School Department is looking for bus aide(s) to support our students with specialized transportation to and from school. This position will supervise students while on school transportation. Responsibilities could include lifting, safely securing students in seats, and behavior management. Full training will be provided.


Hours could range from 6:15-9:00am and 12:45-3:45pm, Monday- Friday. We are willing to be flexible with shifts and days worked, which would be discussed during the interview process. We are looking for individuals to have a set schedule, or could be called in as a substitute. Compensation is the Ed. Tech. I rate of $22.76 per hour.


Applicants must have a CHRC through the Maine DOE and background check.


This position will remain open until we no longer need substitute bus aides.
