Job Description

Bus Aide (Part-time, up to 3 positions) Needed

Location: Shelburne Community School

This position will remain open until filled. However, applications received within the first seven days of posting will receive priority consideration. Internal candidates will also be prioritized over external applicants during this initial seven-day window.

Shelburne Community School (SCS) is seeking part-time bus aides to assist in transporting children to and from school. Qualified candidates who are available to work, one hour each, for one or both shifts are encouraged to apply. The start and stop times are subject to change depending on the route and ridership.
Responsibilities include supervising the student(s) on the bus, assisting with the loading and unloading process, and monitoring passenger welfare and safety. Successful applicants must have good communication skills, the ability to work well with children, exhibit patience and a caring attitude.

Pay rate for the Bus Aide position is consistent with the CVSD Support Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement for Intensive Needs ParaEducator. Due to the work hours, this position is not benefit eligible. More information about CVSD can be found on our district website.
