Comstock Park School District is seeking a Bus Aide to support student safety and discipline during transportation and at various school locations in Comstock Park, Michigan.
The candidate will monitor students, enforce codes of conduct, and maintain a safe environment on the bus, in halls, and during activities, while complying with district policies and building procedures.

Comstock Park is seeking candidates who display a strong desire and ability to make an impact on students and the greater community both within and outside of the classroom.
This person must monitor students to ensure a positive safe environment in various areas of the bus. This person is responsible for enforcing code of conduct policies.
To perform this job successfully, an individual will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily upon completing of the trial period. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School diploma.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to students and staff.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs. such as moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally work inside and must be able to work outside for parking lot and bus loading/unloading. The employee must be able to work with the public and other workers. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate to loud. This person will wear clothing in accordance with building policy.

The final candidate for this position will be required (at their cost) to furnish the district with a current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records LiveScan check prior to our recommendation to hire.
