Burnet County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Jail Facility Officer to supervise inmates and maintain the safety and security of the Burnet County Jail facility.

You will enforce rules, conduct inspections, respond to emergencies, keep records, transport inmates as needed, and communicate effectively with staff, inmates, and the public. This role requires readiness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License is required.
• Must pass a thorough background check.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No felony convictions.”

• Transport inmates as needed
• Communicate effectively with inmates, staff, and the public
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Texas Driver's License required
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a correctional facility
• Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification
