Metals USA is seeking a Burner Machine Operator for the 1st shift at our Greensboro NC facility. You will read work orders, set up machinery, operate the burner, and perform quality checks on finished products.

The role requires interpreting CAD drawings, materials handling with an overhead crane, and strict adherence to safety policies. Candidates should have at least 1 year of related experience and strong dexterity.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read work orders, safety manuals, and policies in English.
• Able to read measurements in English/Metric and use measuring tools.
• Basic arithmetic to convert decimals and fractions.
• Familiar with Windows software for loading design files.
• At least 1 year operating burning machines or as operator helper.
• Experience with overhead crane or forklift operation.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Review CAD drawings, work orders, and tooling instructions.
• Coordinate material handling and operate overhead crane.
• Select proper material per work order and set up machine.
• Set gas flow, tip, feed rates, and verify dimensions with gauges.
• Align material in bed using gauges and fixtures.
• Perform quality inspections and document results.
• Diagnose issues, adjust operations, and remove scrap.
• Stack, band, palletize finished products for shipment.
