Job summary

Chippenham Hospital is seeking a Burn Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator RN to lead data management, reporting, and quality improvement efforts for the Burn Service. You will collaborate with Trauma leadership, physicians, and nurses to drive improvements in patient outcomes and care processes.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Virginia RN licensure, and 3–5 years in healthcare with strong computer and data skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or advanced nursing certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate performance improvement activities for the Burn Service, including data management and research functions.
• Develop and run burn registry queries, reports, and indicators under supervision of the Trauma Program Director, Burn Program Manager, and Burn Medical Director.
• Ensure timely submission of state, national, and organizational burn data; maintain data accuracy in the Burn Registry.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to report performance, process, and outcome indicators.
• Maintain effective communication among physicians, nurses, and staff to achieve performance improvement goals.
• Assist with outreach, injury prevention, and educational activities based on burn data.
