Qualifications

  • Must show evidence of educational preparation with 16 hours of burn-related continuing education per year.
  • Experience in surgical care, critical care, or emergency department required.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance desired.

Responsibilities

  • Identify patient cases for burn registry database inclusion.
  • Review medical records for required elements for registry reporting.
  • Analyze and disseminate burn information and reports.
  • Participate in data analysis and performance improvement projects.
  • Consult with clinical staff for burn case reporting.
  • Report hospital quality data as required by health authorities.
  • Maintain Burn verification status with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Participate in Burn Quality related education programs.
  • Coordinate CME lectures and ABLS courses.
