Job Summary
Serves as a clinical and operational liaison across the continuum of burn care and the performance improvement support. Coordinates patient-centered care from initial injury through inpatient treatment, outpatient follow-up, rehabilitation, and community reintegration. Ensures timely access to care, facilitates multidisciplinary communication, supports patients and families, and contributes to quality, regulatory readiness, and program growth in alignment with the American Burn Association (ABA) standards. Plays a critical role in supporting the Burn Program development, improving patient experience and outcomes, reducing fragmentation of care, and supporting the hospital’s mission as a regional referral center.
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Burn Care, Trauma or ICU is required.
Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
Current BLS training is required.
Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) is required within one year of being in the position.
Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN) is required within three years of being in the position.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
Master degree in Nursing is preferred.
