TalentBurst is recruiting for a Burn ICU RN in Kansas City, MO. The role is an onsite, 13‑week night shift contract with 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM rotations, located at KCMO 64132.

The ICU unit handles burn patients with 6 beds and variable acuity, requiring strong hemodynamic management skills. Qualified nurses will have ICU background, burn experience preferred, NIH/CRRT training, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/TNCC).

Qualifications

• ICU background and burn ICU experience preferred.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, TNCC certifications (NIH/ABLS preferred).
• NIH and CRRT training considered highly advantageous.
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration skills are required.
• Cardiac rhythm proficiency is essential for ICU care.

Responsibilities

• Debridement, dressing changes, line insertion.
• Chest tube insertions and maintenance.
• Post-op procedural care within Burn ICU.

• Number of Beds : 6
• Patient Ratios : Varies on Acuity. Adult only
• Unit staffing description: Charge Nurse, RN s, Nurse Externs, Paramedics.
• Type of equipment: Alaris Iv Pumps, Hill-Rom beds and call light system, Client Cardiac monitoring equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduling period
• On Call Requirements: N/A
• Floating policy: Float to like units. ICU/PCU/CCU. Agency staff first to float when needed.
• Patient Experience requirements: Uphold our mission and values. Treat every patient as their own. Courtesy and Respect is a top priority. Must adhere to Bedside Shift report requirements.
