Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years and obtain a Bachelor's degree within seven years.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participates in education programs to meet learning needs and ensures patient/family readiness to learn.
• Identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in evaluating and revising the care plan.
• Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and prioritizes care accordingly.
• Leads and collaborates with interdepartmental teams to promote professional growth and safe care.
• Assesses data to determine priorities for care and anticipates discharge planning needs.
