Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for the Burn Unit (BICU). You will play a pivotal role in patient healing, from wound care to pain management, while collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

The role emphasizes leadership in patient safety, education for patients and families, and involvement in ongoing nursing initiatives within the hospital.

Qualifications

• RN) Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree, or Associate Degree
• Must possess 1 year of RN experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
• Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
• Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
• Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
