Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drops from the network hub to customers’ homes in Florida.

The role requires overnight travel as needed and involves direct customer interaction to ensure reliable service connections. The technician will read drawings, complete paperwork, and promote Kinetic services while supporting a safety-focused, union bidding process.

Qualifications

• Basic technology and math skills.
• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
• Ability to travel overnight, including out-of-state.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect Kinetic’s network to the customers’ residence.
• Use technical expertise and customer focus to create meaningful connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
