Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cables from the network hub to customers’ homes. The role requires ability to travel overnight as needed and involves promoting Kinetic products.

The position is safety sensitive and involves operating trenching equipment and hand tools while following work drawings and completing paperwork. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic technology and math skills.
• Must be able to travel overnight on occasion.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
• Position is safety sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers’ residence.
• Interpret work drawings and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate hand-held computer to access and clear tasks.
• Perform locates on underground facilities when applicable.
