Job Description

Under the supervision of lead cooks or the Sous Chef, assists with preparing menu items by chopping vegetables, making salads, soups, sauces, and assembling entrees. Supports kitchen staff to ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are met or exceeded. The following responsibilities are illustrative and not exhaustive:

1. Deliver excellent guest service, exhibiting friendliness, politeness, and responsiveness.
2. Familiarize with all Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.’s outlets and functions, and answer general property questions.
3. Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly.
4. Read food orders and prepare food according to menu plans.
5. Prepare ingredients by washing, slicing, peeling, and cutting.
6. Test foods for doneness using tasting, smelling, or piercing methods.
7. Supervise kitchen operations to ensure adherence to procedures, quality, and standards.
8. Engage with guests at the buffet line, explaining products and building positive relationships.
9. Coordinate with dining room staff on orders.
10. Prepare food items accurately and timely.
11. Complete all prep work as per instructions.
12. Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment.
13. Follow health regulations for food handling and storage.
14. Attend scheduled training programs.
15. Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
16. Pass all training and testing requirements.
17. Maintain a neat, groomed appearance.
18. Handle difficult guests professionally and work harmoniously with colleagues.
19. Follow SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.
20. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
