Job summary

The Illinois State Police seeks a detail-oriented Senior Public Service Administrator, Bureau Chief for Vehicle Services to lead Fleet Operations, LEMRE, and vehicle lighting programs. You will set goals, supervise staff, and manage budgets to support long-term safety and policing objectives.

The role requires strong policy development, collaboration with internal and external partners, and the ability to drive process improvements across statewide vehicle services.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of public administration and/or business. Four years of college required.
• Four years of progressive administrative experience in public or business organizations.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and implements policies for Fleet Operations, LEMRE, and lighting equipment resources.
• Develops short- and long-range plans and sets program goals.
• Directs personnel and fiscal operations to support communications requests and officer safety.
• Coordinates fleet procurement and equipment needs with administrators and outside entities.
• Monitors work requests and projects to ensure alignment with priorities.
